Removing Plugs for 3rd SCV - JD 4600

I am trying to connect in to the 3rd SCV on my John Deere 4600 tractor; however, I have been unable to remove the plugs from the SCV valve. The plugs appear to be frozen. So far, I have put a severe twist in my 8 mm hex key wrench; and, even tried an impact wrench on it. The plugs have not budged at all. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Don't have any suggestions, but didn't have any problem like that with my smaller 4300.

Have you soaked them with Kroil or similar substance for several hours? If air impact isn't moving them there is something going on other than just normal seat.

No, I didn't try soaking them yet. Not sure if the penetrant can get to the threads. It is on the underside of the SCV and I asume that the plugs have an O ring seal blocking the threads. Beenthere, did your plugs have O rings?

Just wanted to let evryone know that I finally removed the plugs and installed the hydraulic lines. I bought the proper tools for the job: An air impact that develops 580 ft-lbs of torque (about double my electric impact) and an 8 mm hex impact driver. One of the plugs was still stuck until I increased the air pressure to over 100 PSI. I didn't see any corrosion. The plugs were just that tight. I was very much afraid that I was going to break something; and, then really have problems.
