How do you guys remove stickers from vehicles?

My dealer put several on various parts of my tractor and honestly, I want to remove some of the seemingly dozens of safety stickers that are plastered all over it.

No lectures on the safety stickers please, I already know the dangers of all the various parts. I just want some of them gone. It looks like a rolling billboard.

Peel them off then use goo gone. I told my dealer if I see a sales sticker I was not buying it.

Wet a wash cloth place it on the sticker and heat the wash cloth in the area of the sticker with the wife's hair dryer. Check often, use a finger nail to start the peel off process. If any glue residue is left, clean it off with cigarette lighter fluid on a cloth. Don't use a paper towel you may scratch the clear coat finish. Then apply a coat of wax to the area.

Dealer installed stickers are tough. They are made to survive several years in the most harsh of environments.

Above ideas should work but WD40 can help.

I often remove decals from trucks at work. Heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive, then a plastic putty knife to pick at the edge, then just pull it off with your fingers. Brake cleaner and a soft rag takes off the left over adhesive.

Good luck.

Be advised. If the tractor is a few years old - as mine is - the spot where the sticker was will be bright new paint. The remainder of the tractor will be slightly sun faded.

I use a HF heat gun to remove stickers / decals. It works great. Just heat and start peeling. Don't get it too hot, just hot enough to soften the adhesive. A hair dryer should work as well if you don't have a heat gun.

When we sell our used company trucks we remove the logo, name, truck number and phone number from both sides. This is what we use, and it works very well. It works best to use light pressure and have the tool contact the stickers so it throws the material being removed toward the undisturbed area of the sticker. I also bought rod couplings that fit the thread of the mandrel to allow the drill to fasten to the hex shape to hold it better.

You want the surface warm to get the adhesive to release from it preferentially. ... Park in the sun for awhile, then go at it with a hair dryer.
