Thanks for the responses. My reaction covered the same range as all of yours. Here's an update. I contacted my attorney. The dealer did violate the Pennsylvania Unfair Trade Practices Act. He thought the dealer would probably assume I'm bluffing about getting an attorney. He also recommended contacting the Attorney General's office as a minimum cost option. The AG's web page shows the complaint process which also will take some effort. You probably won't be surprised as how contacting Polaris has gone so far. They have a 'Contact Us' email on their web page which has as an option on the subject line pull down list 'Dealer satisfaction issue'. Seemed exactly what I needed. Here's the response they sent:
Thank you for contacting Polaris Consumer Service in regards to the issues that you have been having with your Polaris ATV.
Unfortunately, we are only equipped to answer questions regarding Polaris' online store.
They didn't bother responding to my asking why 'Dealer satisfaction issue' was one of their subject line options.
Again thanks for your input, I continue with this and let you know how it concludes if you want to know.
