I would like to repair (make round) a tube that has a partial crimp on the end. I can't just buy a new tube. Is there a tool that will make the end of a tube round again?

Thanks,

Dennis

Sounds like a tough one.

Copper tubing?

Need a flare fitting on it, or what?

Tubing size is what?

Hydraulic high pressure, or low pressure water line?

Room to splice?

Need more info. :)

They make tools to do that to thin wall exhaust pipe.

Is this more complicated than it sounds? If you can find something an outside diameter the same as the inside diameter of the tube and has a tapered end, you can insert the item into the tube and gently bend it back into the proper shape. On small tubes a punch or similar is easy to use. For larger pipes you will have to improvise.

Use a crescent wrench, fit it to the exterior diameter of the good pipe and work towards the end in a circular motion.
