Repairing Thin-Wall Square Tubing

No pics but my repair is in place and works great, the feeder control arm only moves the hydraulic flow piston about 1" to change the direction of the feed teeth from forward to reverse. My plan to weld the thin wall tubing was before I tried doing it and my skills and equipment not up to the task. My fix cost me $20 in hardware and maybe 2-hours of labor so even I could not justify buying a mig welder for this job. Again I appreciate everyone's input.

I'd hate to be without a mig welder. They're indispensable for jobs like this. My annual job of tacking the crappy expand metal down on my trailer would suck without one.

Funny but you are misjudging the master. Don't forget I have $5000 invested in a wood chipper I have been "rebuilding" for three years and have not ever used. I even got my wife to spend a day helping me replace a 65HP diesel engine and she enjoyed it. So dragoneggs...when you can take the pebble from my hand you can question my logic.
