Replace Reflective Tape with Lights

This is what I have come up with so far after looking at several types of lights. The first is a flush mount with only needing a small hole drilled in the fender for the wires. I'll protect the wires by running them through a steal tube under the fender. This light is right at the max size I can use and have it fit properly.
Light 2 requires a hole cut in the fender to fit the LED element.
Light 3 also requires a hole cut in the fender for the rubber grommet.
I'm still looking. I would much rather go with a surface mount so not to weaken the fender by having to cut a hole in it. I do like the look and size fit of the last image but there is that dang hole that needs to be cut. LOL

Randy, Do you think it would weaken the fender that much? The fender doesn't do much at that point so I don't think it would be much of a problem for a hole there. Just my .02.

He could always install then, and then take some flap stock and bend it to contour on either side of the lamp, and ten jbweld the metal to the underside of the plastic or fiberglass fender as a stiffener. I've seent hat done as a reapir before..

I like those responses... ( trim the limb ) .. Apaprently he doesn't take his tractor to places where the limbs aren't yours.. and you can't trim them. When i drivy my tractor over to my pasture, i have to drive down a 1/4mile dirt road to access my pasture.. There are many overhanging branches that I don't own. I can just see the faces of people out there watching me trim some of their slightly overhangin trees /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif . Naa!.. i think I'll just drive tot he edge a bit.. or let them brush my already dented up canopy.. can't hurt much..

I don't really mind the limbs either as long as I have my seatbelt on /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I did have one limb rip the turn/stop light right off the side of the ROPS on my TN - I had crabbed a little too far back into the brush and was looking over my right shoulder trying to avoid those logs that like to dent the rear of my R/C - never even saw that russian olive tree that grabbed my light but I sure felt it when pulling forward -
Those suckers are mean /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Nothing a little duct tape couldn't fix though /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
