Replaced radio in brand new tractor, worked one time then no more.

2019 Case IH 55A. Removed factory Bluetooth radio because of its crappiness, replaced with new Pioneer from Crutchfield.

Had to snip off the head unit connections of old one to have enough slack for new unit, connected correctly via wiring diagrams. During the snip I forgot to unplug battery so when I snipped power wire it sparked and then the tractor acted very funny. Would turn on but not rev up. Found a blown fuse on radio circuit, used one from another slot then powered up the radio and it worked just fine. Turned it on twice and didn稚 have a problem.

Went out just now and radio will not power on. Tractor is acting just fine and all, but no radio power. Radio fuse is fine.

Any ideas before I go poking around with a volt meter tomorrow? Any chance the missing fuse is causing a problem with tractor like the blown one did. Disconnect battery for a while to reset? Faulty radio?

What chance is it that me blowing the fuse messed up something larger?

Most of the time there are two power wires one with the key switch and one that has power all the time even with the key off for the radio memory... Both fuses good ?....

Yeah I have two, an ignition wire and a constant battery wire. Both radio and fuse box fuses are good.

Maybe check the plug..

Probably the head unit or the wiring to it. Also check inside the radio the fuse for the ignition sense pin, if it has one. I just fixed a mobile radio like 2 days ago that had that problem. And put the proper fuses back into the fuse box.
