Here is a picture of the backhoe. I thought it was the bigger one, but 'm thinking this one has about an 8 foot digging depth. It still weights a good bit though. I tried using the hydraulics as is when I loaded it, but it only worked for a brief moment. I think I kinked the suction hose enough to cause it to have a crack and it's getting air and I leaked alot of fluid out as well when I was trying to get it all working. I have one sticky valve/lever that I am soaking in some pb blaster and hopefully it will free up a bit more. I have some used kubota UDT I'm going to throw in it and see what happens as I kinda need that boom up to back off the trailer.

Through searching , Think This place is close and local to You :

River Valley Hose Doctor , 3327 Pleasant View Rd, Russellville, AR 72802

Can also look for a Parker Store or someone who operates as a Parker outlet . We cut a line on a import self contained B.H. on my brothers , J.D. and although it took the guy about 15 to 20 minutes to figure it out , size , angle , etc... , the hose came out better than original Thanks to the salesman adding a 45 degree fitting on one end , rather than straight out like original . He took the time to diagnose " Why " it broke and how to fix it better . Price was very reasonable .

Thanks for the info everyone and to FredH for the lookup of the hose doctor. I have heard his radio commercial some time back but didn't need any hoses at the time LOL.

I am going to have to have some hoses for safety(I am sitting fairly close to these hoses being a 3pt backhoe and all) and to prevent a huge downtime or mess. Here are a couple of pics of some of the hoses:

Another question, is it possible to reduce the cost of replacement hoses by using rigid tubing/line down the main parts of the boom so I did not have to buy such long hydraulic hoses or is the rigid tubing and fittings going to be about the same cost in the long run? I am slowly pulling pins and getting ready to pull the swing cylinders as they have some huge rust spots, going to see if they can clean up with a wire wheel.

I am replacing all the hoses on a used backhoe I am installing on my tractor.I have found that surpluscenter.com has the lowest prices on hydraulic hoses. You will need to identify the hose size and which fittings you need.As stated before they have a page that helps identify the fitting sizes and type of fitting. Service is excellent and shipping is prompt.

steel tubing is cheaper than hoses. You will need a tubing bender and a flaring tool to make up the lines.
