I have a 1320 with calcium filled turf 13.6-16 tires. There is a lot of corrosion in the area around the valve stem. There currently is no signs of any leaking but I cant tell if its just surface corrosion or something deeper/worse. I was tempted to start scraping/poking to see how bad it is but am concerned I might open a problem immediately. So, any thoughts on checking the corrosion? Thoughts on practicing prevention maintenance and replacing the rims now and filling with beet juice/washer fluid? If I do replace the rims, any sources besides the local NH dealer, is that a standard rim size? Thanks for any feedback.

The rims are pretty thick and heavy. It's be a long time before it would rust through and cause a problem. Wire brush it, touch it up, and use it for another 10 years.

The best thing I've found for corrosion is rust reformer by rustolium. It works great. I wouldn't worry about them ruting through to bad though, you could always put a tube in the tire.
