I have a Ford 908 Rotary Cutter that squeals when rotating. I am thinking bearings so I took the gear box off and took it apart. The bearings that I can see look good but there is one in the shaft just after the slip clutch that I cannot see and it seems to growl when I rotate it. The big question is does anybody have some good advice on how to get the bearings out of this thing? There are apparently some snap rings in line. I am wondering if they have to come off first before I can force the bearings out. The following link is a cut away of the unit. Thanks in advance for any help as I am somewhat mechanically challenged when it comes to this proceedure.
