I'm getting ready to trade in my B7500HSD. Not 2 hours after getting the loader installed on this tractor, I deformed the lines on the boom cross member by an idiotic placement of a chain. Everything works fine and has so for the last 10 years, but its small things like this that I believe can vastly affect the trade-in value.
Not having any experience in hydraulic repairs such as this (or any, for that matter), what are some things that I should prepare for/expect? I know enough to depressurize by moving the joystick around after the machine has been shut down.
What position should the cylinders be in?
Will there be excessive fluid loss, or just what's in the lines?
Firing it back up and cycling the cylinders a few times should bleed everything, right?
