Got the job done thanks to a 2009 thread on this site. One picture and a brief explanation got me going in the right direction. Figured I'd video my repair for the next guy.

I know you experts will laugh at my techniques but I got her done in the end and everything seems to be working just fine. Any critiques would be welcomed. Thanks again!

fritz, thanks for posting the video. Good for you to tackle the job, and gett'er done, even if you won't do it again. Enjoyed the video. The one thing I would have done differently, even given the lack of specialty tools, is the way you put the piston/ram back into the cylinder. I was cringing, hoping that you were not nicking or scratching the chrome finish on the ram. I would have slipped a length of pvc pipe, or something, over the ram, to protect it from metal-to-metal scratches. Good job.
