So, you have the "neighbor with the barking dogs" problem too? I hadn't thought about running an engine with an open pipe directed at them, but I figured if they couldn't hear their own dogs barking 18 hours a day, would they hear that?
I also considered recording their dogs and then setting up a really loud speaker system directed at their house, and running the tape nonstop after they go to bed, I could see the officers now as they approached my door to tell me to turn it off. "So,officer, it's ok for their dogs to bark all day and night, but it's not OK for me to play a recording of their dogs barking all day and night?
Sorry for the hijack.............now back to your regularly scheduled program............. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

the main thing with being off grid, tends to be ulternat ways of doing things. propane appliances, insted of eletric, the house built for living off grid. etc....

being off grid isn't that hard, it's the change in lifestyle that's harder
