Results 120v MIG on 3/8 with bevel

A little off topic, but I learned to weld when I was a kid on a 120v machine in the 1950s. It just had two big resistors in a ventilated box. They would glow red hot when welding. My dad had to put a 30A fuse in the panel or it would blow. It would have had plenty of OCV, but I didn't know about that stuff then. My, how times have changed. Carry on.

That brings back memories of an old Marquette welder that I saw in the corner of a gas station. It was missing the sheet metal, so when you plugged in the cables you had to be careful and not touch anything or you would get the heck shocked out of you.
