Some of you may recall I posted photos of an old 72" rear blade I had acquired, asking for help in identifying it. After using it, I tore it apart and cleaned it up, primed and painted it, and installed refurbished and some new hardware- the old bits and pieces were rusted, worn and no longer staying tight and letting it wiggle and rattle way too much.
I got ambitious and installed a grease fitting for the pivot, and fabbed a support stand for storage. Not knowing its original maker, I went with old style Kubota orange (I had some rattle cans left over) and stuck a brown John Deere decal on it. Some before and after photos...

Looks great. I almost always rebuild things I buy and have never regretted it. If you can buy cheap enough and buy the right item, you can have fun and maybe pocket a couple of $$ along the way.

Swap the lettering to say "Don Jeere" so someone years from now doesn't try to find the history of this unknown model JD blade, or try to sell it at double the true value.
