retirement and new excavator

Toy1 I am over on Marshepaug Road on a small lot. I spent the summer off and on moving rocks with my little CK20 and frankly kinda enjoyed messing around with the rocks. Heck for several months I kept a log of the hours I spent each day, manual labor and tractor time. In July I was starting at sun up and then going into work in Waterbury an hour or so later and then putting in time in the evening. I still have more rocks to move and I think about a fixed thumb to help pick up the rocks that are less than 500Lbs or so with the backhoe. Sounds like you have several seasons worth of projects you could do with your new excavator - and now you have time to do it. Not much beats enjoying a machine and getting work done. Charlie

hi CCDCK20HST I am on the north west side of goshen ,Bartholomew hill road
it seem we were both getting up early and driving to Waterbury. I agree a thumb is one of the best things you can put on a back hoe or excavator,When I told my son in laws that I was getting a bigger excavator both asked me was there a thumb on the new exacavator that is how important it has become around here. Well good luck with all the rocks I can assure you I have my share also. Stop by some time when you are in the area.

Toy1 - Thank you for the dealer info. The 2 Kubota dealers near me were not very helpful when I bought a tractor so I ended up green because of the dealer support. I'm starting to look farther from home to find the right dealer for an excavator. Thank you again for the responses and please do post pictures when you're new excavator shows up.Cheers.
