Mowing reversable finnish mower?

I have just aquired my first tractor. I want to put a finishing mower on it ,But the tractor is an Antonio Carrero TTR4400. The whole machine is reversable, I thought it would be better for steering and visability if I could drive with the mower first. All the finish mowers I have seen are rear discharge. I was thinking a side discharge would work better? Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this matter?

As long as the mower is traveling in the direction it was designed to go, things work out. Running the mower backwards drives the discharge material against the whirlwind vortex. That will be a problem. The deck usually clogs up.

I guess that it would have to be a specialty type of mower then$$$$$?

There are a lot of front mount mowers out there. Kubota F-series are one, and I think that the JD model #'s also start with F.

You could probably get a deck for one of them, and modify it to use with your machine.

of course, anything made for a skid steer is front mount ...also, note Kubota's F-series front mount mowers ...they offer both a side and a rear discharge

you should be able to get a side discharge one, reverse the mounting brackets and the gearbox and mount it on your tractor (assuming that the PTO shaft spins the the same direction)

Below is an example, the only problem is that it is a rear discharge model, but the idea is the same.

I got just the ticket. It's a 60 inch deck that ran out in front of a yazoo when its life started.
It has a side discharge and looks just like a finish mower except it's mowing backwards and they do a very good job.

Are you wanting to sell that deck? If so how much? I'm wanting to try putting a front mower on my B7800. If I can find out if I can get a different crank shaft pulley with three holes in it. Well have to ask on here and see if anyone can help.

I would sell it, but to be honest, I seen some pretty good deals on ebay for complete mowers and my deck is missing a spindle. I believe those to be pretty expensive also, like a hundred bucks if I am not mistaken. The gear box and remaining spindles turned, but I don't know if it would even be worth the trip or your time. I bought it for parts to use on my old yazoo but since I just bought a new zero turn, I haven't messed with the yazoo.
