reversal of hitch pins?

I have a mitsubishi D2300. I recently purchased a King cutter rotary cutter. When I tried to hook it up to my hitch I noticed that the lift arms seem to be spread to wide and will hit the tires. I guess I can reverse the rims but I also noticed that if I reverse the hitch pins to the inside of the cutter I will have the correct spacing. Does anyone see a problem with this? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

That's a quite common solution; no problem with it at all.

I had the same problem with my old B7500 and a KK 4' brush hog. I think not only did I reverse them, I lowered them too, so my brush hog would raise higher. When I bought new implements I would tell the dealers to reverse them for me. Sure makes hookups easier.

I reversed the hitch pins on much of my KK and other equipment when I just had my ym1700. Also remember to use chains to keep stuff outta your tires. Dishing out the rims helps with width and stability issues.. just remember to swap the wheels from side to side to keep the tread 'pulling' the correct direction.

My KK back blade came off TSC's lot with the pins reversed. Works fine for my BX2200.

I reversed the pins on my KK finish mower that is on my Yanmar. The only problem that I see is that you are spreading the PTO shaft, so be sure that it is long enough. A PTO shaft loose would not be fun. oldhippy in Ark.
