False alarm, it was just the cruise control lever.

Now I just have to figure out why my wife snuck out in the middle of the night and engaged the lever...

You're driving me crazy talking about playing... I mean working in the snow. I loaned my CK30 to my brother while he was on strike at Boeing and he hasn't brought it back yet. I spent a good 3 hours shoveling snow the old fashioned way to get my neighbor's pickup out of the driveway so I could get to work yesterday. One of my other neighbors has been having fun I mean working hard around the neighborhood clearing driveways. One lady asked him to clear her driveway but didn't have anything to give him but a 6 pack of Shmidty Pop. He said it made him feel young again because he hadn't had any of that since he was 18 and couldn't afford anything else. He would have cleared it for nothing. On the up side my tractor is in my brother's big closed in shop out of the weather. I don't have shelter to put it in at my place yet.

My ignition switch froze up after the first time I plowed during a good snowfall. The tractor was warm so the snow melted and the water ran into the switch. My fix was to get a 1 1/4 inch diameter rubber cane/stool leg cap. Mine came from Lowes but any hardware store should work. I cut it shorter so the cup was only about 1/4 inch deep. In the center, I made a little slit for the key to fit through snug. When the key is in the ignition, the cup will fit over the ignition switch lock down nut and almost touch the dash. No more snow or water getting into the switch. I use that key all the time now. It also keeps rain and dirt out of the switch.
