At least the older tractors like that, aren't full of electronics and can be fixed at home!

I hope it turns out well for you!

If you need parts you can visit Traktorove dily a pneumatiky - atpmotor.cz If you need all the filters it is probably cheaper already.

I place an order for Zetor parts and spare parts every some years. Even with transport costs, customs and clearance it is cheaper than buying in Canada.
Ask for a quote for parts and transport including Czech customs. They cannot provide the customs cost and clearance for US or Canada. There is your risk.
Transport takes 10 to 14 days, door to door.

have accomplished quite a bit since i got the tractor home, the front sheet metal had taken a beating and needed painting as well, but got the engine up and running, it also had a water leak into the trans and the steering was way sloppy, found out the steering need to be rebuilt and sealed, here is a recent pic and work continues.

I picked up a 5245 last year for $1500 in almost the same condition. Transmission was froze up from rust. So far I have that issue sorted out and got it running. Getting ready now to clean up the battery wiring and put on a new starter. So far the parts have been reasonable and they are easy to work on. I try to post some pics.

I had a new zetor5245 years ago and had a few minor problems with very few hrs.on it . It was rugged , had a great eng. and very easy on fuel . The breaks would freeze up if I didn't use it quite often and it was always under cover when not in use . The power steering and brake lines were of very poor quality . Had to replace the hyd. clutch control valve the second year I owned it and it only had a couple hundred hrs. on it . The dealer in my area went belly up so I sold it and bought a Kubota and have never looked back . The dealer thought they would sell to the potato farmers in my area due to the price but they didn't hold up to the traditional John Deere etc. .
