the manual that came with the tractor was not for the 324...it was for the 344 which is very different on the inside. i have tried to order a copy of the right manual but have not found one yet. i am pulling the clutch cover saturday to check on the dual clutching.

thanks for the affirmation of the dual clutching. i will be taking that area apart this weekend to see if it just needs adjustment.

when I adjusted mine, I did it through the inspection cover. Was a pain. Do not know how else to do it, and be able to test.
I have e-mailed Tim at Farmboys, I do not even know where else to look for a manual. When I got mine, they gave me books for a 284. Way not the right things...

Good luck, let me know if you find a secret to it.

Raymax;
thanks for the help in getting the clutch together correctly. Maybe you could post those measurements here? for us in the future.

I got mine back in and functioning. Needs a little more adjusting for my preference.
In general this is what I found on mine,
The nuts on the bolt that actuates the PTO have to be jamb nuts which are smaller. If not then there is contact between the nuts and the bell housing before you have enough travel to make the adjustments needed.

The tightness of the nuts determines the distance between drive release, and PTO release. The tighter these nuts are, the closer together the release of the two will be.
The set screw adjustment at the front of the arm, in combination with the external adjustment determine when it all begins to release.
Hope this helps. I tightened the nuts just finger tight, and there is a lot of distance between the two disengagements. And my drive clutch disengages at the top of the travel. So I am going to tighten the nuts a little and lower the fingers from the TO bearing just a little more pedal before contact of the TO bearing to the fingers, and it should be just how I want it.

Hello,
I have a Rhino 344, so I am wondering where you found a manual for it.

Thanks for the posts.
