I purchased some end of season rhododendron bushes with a view to repotting and then planting in the spring. In my haste I potted using cow manure and ordinary potting soil so the soil acidity is probably wrong. If I water with either diluted vinegar or lemon juice will that change the ph without damaging the plants?

I think that I might be more inclined to just do a feeding with something granular like HollyTone. I am not sure what the vinegar or lemon juice might do and I think that they would leach from the soil very quickly.
