Buying Advice Riding Lawn Mower Under $3,000 Out The Door

I use a JD D130 to mow 1 acre. Pull a tank sprayer and trailer with it. 150hrs on it and the only issue was a idler sheave on the mower deck went bad. Works ok with a 42" deck.

Good luck with any lawn tractor using the Tuff Torq K46 transmission. The 310 Deere is the lowest end lawn tractor with a beefier transmission than the K46.
A ground enagement transmission designed for heavy draft loads uses a 5 bolt hub instead of a keyway axle shaft and a C'Clip. K66 and heavier.

The JD 310 definitely looks nice. I broke my collar bone this Winter, and I don't know if I'll ever feel right again. Having power steering would be a big plus, but now I'm looking at $4,250 out the door with just the mower and tax. I'm not sure if the dealer charges for bogus set up fees, etc.

Anybody have anything negative to report on the JD 310?
