Riding mower wheel rusted to axle

Can you access a acetylene torch? I dont think your getting enough heat in there using a plumbers torch.

Heat it up cherry, and soak it with penetrating fliud. Kroil is probably the best stuff if you can find it. Ive been using ZEP's penetrant lately and find it almost as good. WD40 isnt worth the can it comes in IMHO.

If you can get a large puller on the rim. THe constant strain that a puller provides can be better than hitting with a hammer.

Also double check that there are no washers, cotter pins or anything else in there holding it on.

tried till exhausted wondering why back tire on riding mower wont come off other one was hard but it eventually broke free i did notice some grooves on shaft where the one came off but doesnt look to be any bearing on why it wont come off
