Had an interesting experience this spring.

Background: I have two places where I keep tractors, one near
the dealers and one quite distant. I keep my Kubota B1700 at the "near" place and my Deere 3005 at the "distant" place except when I exchange them to do an annual maintenance at dealers.

This Spring I attached the Deere to the four foot Farm Force rotary mower I usually use with the Kubota. I broke 2 sheer pins befre I figured out that the Deere was a bit overpowered for the mower. With the 14 HP Kubota, if I hit an obstruction it lugs down the engine and I back off. With the 28 Hp Deere i don't even notice the obstruction until I hear the "pop" of the sheer bolt. However, my ancient-no-discernable-brand five foot rotary mower will lug
down my Deere so I have never broken a sheer with that match. Just food for thought.
