I didn't know they made the YM1700 in 1983.

Or the YM2000 in 1994 /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

HERE is an entire thread about the advertising of one of the sellers listed in the ads you reference here. It's all about integrity and honest information...or lack of same.

hi folks.

Look, I don't like to feel like I'm becoming the "Rime of the Ancient Mariner", but I'll continue my messaging anyway:

A yanmar 2000 made in the 1990's is false. even the 80's for that matter. You want to know when the tractor was made, check with other resources, find out what is true.

Don't buy a re-con. Perceived savings up front will cost you bux down the line... Don't try and figure out what or when, just know it will.

If you dont know what the rime of the ancient mariner is, PM me and we'll begin our english lit or heavy metal primer /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Seriously folks, don't by the painted unknown, buy from a reputable used dealer who'll know what the deal is on a tractor, KNOW WHAT YOUR GETTING IN TO!!!
good weekend all, ... -a

Some of us stateside do some paint jobs too, though we don't zero the hour meters. I think the bottom line remains, as in virtually any transaction, know who you're doing business with. There are enough reputable dealers in this market, and most have the ability to ship or arrange shipping, that one does not have to accept dealers who are less than forthcoming about their product. ALWAYS get references. ALWAYS make sure some of the references are at least a year old, and that some HAVE had a problem. We include some references of customers whose tractor developed a mechanical problem during our warranty period (there aren't many, but yes, of course there are some) because HOW we handle that is important. Point being that references can help you know how likely it is that your tractor will be running a year from now with no or minimum hassle on your part. I still believe this is far more important than any assessment the buyer can make of the specific tractor.

Arthr31, I hope you're not feeling like you've got an albatross (recon) around your neck, and now you've got to sail around the tractor boards doing penance for buying it. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Or is it: Tractors, tractors, everywhere, and all the boards did shrink; Tractors, tractors everywhere, yet they're all from VN and stink?
