Are there several versions of rim guard? My salesmen sold me a rear tire fill (B3030 turfs) he called it citrus star, a version of maple syrup. On the paperwork from the kubota dealer it just says rim guard.

Maple syrup in your tires. Sweet.

I don't think so. According to their website they only have one "flavor". BTW, it is also approved for animal feed use.

Out on the left coast, my dealer called a beet juice derivative rim-guard. I'd rather have maple syrup!:D

That's what Rim Guard basically is. Water and a beet juice derivative.

Does that mean that beets don't freeze?

Well, I don't know about pure beet juice freezing but according to the Rim Guard website:
Rim Guard's special formulation prevents freezing to 35 degrees below 0.

How much did they charge per gallon?

Someone asked me a while back about what I had put in my first BX to fill the tires. The stuff was great, it completely fillst the tire and cures into a silicone-type consistency. It stays flexible (just like air in the tire) yet won't leak if the tire's cut or punctured.

The stuff is made by a company called Arnco, called Superflex or Soft-Fill. It's mixed just before putting it in a tire and then it cures over a weekend. It's heavy stuff, my little BX tires up front weighed over 50#s each.

Took some searching, but with the right clues, I have found it.....

Superflex:)
