Tires Rimguard Ballast in Rear Tires

HerkyPilot you might want to check around on the price to fill your rear tires. My tires take 58 gallons per tire and I was quoted $400 for both tires.

Well I have much bigger tires on an MX5100 and I just received a quote of $425 to fill the rear tires. I believe 80% fill works out to about 11-12 gal/tire. Not sure about the smaller ones. I received a quote a while back for $300 if I had done it at the time of purchase.

Actually, I was off by quite a bit :ashamed:- that's 48 gal/tire. I found another place that will fill to 80% for $389 out the door.

If you go to the Rim Guard (beet juice) web site they tell you how much fluid your tires will take based in their size.

Guess I was lucky. My dealer included RimGuard with any loader purchase. They didn't want to send it out the door without the added rear ballast. I think it is supposed to be a total of 1200lbs on my MX4700 with the R4 tires. I still use another 1000lbs on a 3pt weight bar for snow plowing (7.5 foot blade) and heavy loader work.

I went to an agricultural tire shop for my Kubota B3030. They charge by the gallon, using the gallons shown for the specific tire size on the Rim Guard website. I just got some today for a John Deere X575. It was $3.25 a gallon.

I have mine loaded front and back, B2920,, and mow with it,,no real lines,,,,RFM,,, I also loaded the fronts with washer fluid, paid the dealer $500 to do the backs with the beat juice stuff,,,,,I'd get the filler from TSC AND use RV antifreeze and windshield washer fluid, depending on how cold of a climate you live in


I put 6 gallons in the fronts,,,that was about 80%
