It is harder than people think. Lost my Labrador, Dash, last summer. He was 14. Still having a hard time with it even now.

Everyone says get another puppy and it will help. We did. But it didn't. Love the new puppy, Boon, but still miss Dash every day.

I've had to put down 4 other dogs in my life, all were great companions. But none were as loving as Ellie. Two days later and I'm still breaking up about it.

That is very sad. I looked at the pictures and it brought a tear to my eye, friend.
You were lucky to have her.
I'm sorry she was taken so young.

I know... several other dogs after our 'Nikki' and they were loved but not the same. I feel for you.

sorry for the loss. having to put down a dog, especially one that should still have years to live, is the hardest. we lost our last pup at only 5.5 yrs to cancer.

make everyday count and when you do you know that their lives were 100% good, even when shorter than would be fair.
