Are these hooks fine for pulling backwards with the bucket? Or is that damaging to the FEL?

It depends on what your "pulling". Remember that a typical FEL is designed to lift and push materials, it's not meant to be pulled away from the tractor. Sure, many do it all the time, but if your trying to get e truck out of a ditch or stump out of a hole, it's best to pull from the draw bar on the rear, that's what it's designed for.

These hooks are made for buckets.....you just need to bolt them on as I did

Go slow and easy when pulling. Tractor power can exceed loader structural specs. Never jerk, get running starts, etc. Ease power in.

Now that is clever! Trying to think what other items could be stored in there. On colder days, maybe it could serve as an impromptu beer fridge?

Would need some sort of extractor for removal (long stick) and probably should not attempt to open your hard earned, and likely well shook, beverage inside the cab.

I've seen a thread where someone made a pull stick with a bent piece of welding wire. I was hoping to find PVC pipe that would fit without throwing away a lot of room and make it more than one compartment for multiple tools/firstaid. 2 inch pvc is too small and wasteful 3 inch pvc is too big. (3 inch is the inner diameter) The hole is 3 inch.

Electrical conduit comes in 2.47" with 2.875" outer diameter. May still be a little small on the inner dia.

That is a great idea. That would also keep the paper wasps from thinking it is a hotel, like they do with the ones on my Ford. We have war 2 or 3 times a year over that.
