RK24

Can you ship to regular RK stores that don't carry tractors?

Who handles service? RK in house or TYM?

I'm not the "Tractor Guy", but I can tell you that all the Rural King stores will eventually become tractor stores as well. Right now they're at over 40 with something like 90 more by next year.

And to answer the second question... Rural King services all their own tractors at stores that sell the tractors. So no need for TYM.

RK tractor guy was right. My Morgantown store never has any Rk24 on the lot. Just called them and their tractor guy said the next 6 they get in are already sold.

I got the same from that store. Which, BTW, was fantastic, the sales rep was great, talked to me for 30 minutes about it, really enjoyed the experience. The tough thing for me, I don't really mind the wait, but it kills me to buy a tractor I've never even seen. I'd happily (well, let's not go that far, I'd wait and complain, but they'd have my money) wait IF I knew that was the right tractor for me. Hard to know that without even sitting on it though. :( That aspect doesn't mean I'm not going to eventually buy a RK, but it does mean that I'm looking at other tractors that I can sit on today to see if they might work for my needs (and can compare on price).

Either way, it's a good problem for RK to have!

Diggin It,
So much negativity, why the sarcasm ? If your are not interested, that is your prerogative, but why rain on everyone else at the parade?

Overtaxed,
Advice you overwhelmingly received on the other thread was to buy the used tractor. Are you now having second thoughts? RK is a several hundred million or more annual operation w/ 100 stores and growing, They are closely held w/ a track record back to the 1960's. With the US economy surging, it is most foreseeable that they will be in business to honor that 8 year warranty. If there is a TYM dealer any where near you, that would provide some perspective. Tractors are similar, w/ just more std. features on RK version. If you take a moment to visit this you tube channel, Outdoors with the Morgan's, you will see a comprehensive review of RK tractors. Video #124, I believe?, is the inception of the RK episodes. Mike Morgan is NOT for sale, calls balls and strikes w/o nonsense.

It has been reported that RK has already passed kioti in sales volume in just the first year. How long has kioti had a presence in the US market? I have to laugh at Messick's remark.
When Messick's opens their 100th dealership and posts sales in the hundreds of millions of dollars + range, we should revisit this conversation.

Great YouTube channel! Episode #124 is his intro to the RK deal. #136, #157, and #167 feature the RK24. Just FYI.

I bought a rk24 3 weeks 5 days ago. They didn't have one in stock so I haven't seen one in person yet. They said it could be as long as 3 weeks to get it in. 3 weeks went by, so I reached out to them to see what the status was. The next day the local RK store tractor salesman called me back and said that they were waiting on a part or parts to complete my order. He would call me back by lunch time and let me know when I could expect it. He still hasnt called it has been 4 days. He must not be able get them to pin point a ship date. I know there has been alot of orders for this tractor but the anticipation is a bout to kill me. I was assuming 3 weeks was the max wait but it appears that it was a minimum.
Not ever seeing one in person is not a big issue to me, but the wait is killer. I have done very extensive comparisons and am sure that it will do what I am expecting.
If it is going to be several more weeks I may have to cancel the order and turn to my local tym dealer.(Rk is 50 minute drive and TYM is 8 minutes.) I will pay a bit more but they have them on the lot ready to go....
I will keep you guys informed on the ship time and if I get it, I will use TBN to inform you guys of how great this machine is or isn't.
So the reason for this post was not as much a complaint but to inform someone whom is planning on buying this tractor. Hopefully as the saying goes you may have to wait for good things to come. I hope.
Rural King nice work on selling your 1000th tractor of the year.

To clarify, we have been sold out of RK24 tractors because demand was heavier than expected. Once we saw the large sales volume, we ordered a ton of tractors from our manufacturer and those tractors have now begun to hit our stores. It takes several months from placing an order to when it gets to us. We order tractors every month, and new orders are adjusted every month based upon the demand we anticipate 4 months later when they arrive. So, when you see sales spike in April for example and you want to increase the number of tractors coming in, those tractors don’t arrive until August.... now. The six to eight week wait is a one time gap between when we sold the last RK24 we had on hand until we catch up to demand. Since we are a new brand, hard to predict sales, but the sales pattern has formed, and we won’t run out of tractors again, but if we do, we won’t see 6-8 week waits. Also, we would never ask any customer to buy our tractor sight unseen. We will soon have plenty of tractors to go around and customers can take their time in deciding. We tell our customers to come see us, see the tractors and then go to see other brands so they have all of the information before making a big decision. Hope this helps.

You may wanna let your sales team know so they dont misinform there customers.
Just to clarify you saying it could be 2 to 4 more weeks before I could get my tractor?

Interjecting a little humor here, the RK Tractor Guy stated "Once we saw the large sales volume, we ordered a ton of tractors from our manufacturer", but a TON of tractors is only about one tractor. All kidding aside, new RK Owners and potential owners are most fortunate to have a factory representative weigh in and answer questions to eliminate the speculation and misinformation that can easily derail a thread. Subtle Applause!!

EDIT:

Wannasub……….

You have the option to send him a private message to expedite questions. He may need store location and your name, stuff not generally included on an
open forum.

Very true. I never expected the rep to reply back so quickly. And on Sunday. Awesome Customer service.
If only the shipping process was as quick.
