I wonder why they don't have a hydro with the open station version? Also, does the Shuttle Shift on these require you to clutch when going forward and reverse?

Thanks

Yes you need to clutch forward to reverse. Not sure why no hydro on open station. Maybe not much interest.

Well that stinks. You would think they would have synchronized shuttle.

They don’t put a power shuttle in that size tractor. I think they put it in larger ones. Not sure if any manufacturers do. They sell tractors with a hydro transmission so no shifting at all, but not in open station.

Yeah and I don't want a cab so out of luck on the hydro. I thought most people leaned toward a hydro anymore.

It appears TYM does make open stations with HST, maybe RK does not order them. TYM offers a power shuttle on the 64 hp and greater tractors.

Good question sir. We started off with the shuttle shift only for the open station 55 and both shuttle shift and hydro for the cab version. We now offer the 55 open station with the hydro. Also, we launch our 74 cab this month, it has a 16/16 power shuttle with creeper. $42,998 with loader and Rimguard in the rears.

When are they going to update the site to reflect the fact you can get a hydro with the RK55?

Soon, once we have received sufficient inventory to meet customer needs. We have inventory now to meet customer requests when they ask while visiting our stores. The price for the 55 hydro is $23,999. The specs are exactly the same as 55 cab hydro, less the cab of course.

The hydro is $1K less than the shuttle? Usually it is the other way.

The hydro is $2k more than the shuttle. I gave you the tractor price, not the tractor with loader price. Our cost on the hydro over the shuttle is $1850 so we mark it up very little on the open station 55. For the cab models, the hydro is the same $1850 cost difference for us, but we only increase the price by $1000 to keep the total price under $30k with loader.

I am guessing the transmission is the same hydro transmission in the TYM 554?

Yes sir, it is the same transmission, but our tractors are higher spec with more features than the T554.

Can you confirm this on the shuttle shift. I just called my local Rural King and asked if you could shift the RK55SC without having to clutch it. He said he would go check and call me back. When he called, he said yes, you can shift from forward to reverse without having to clutch it.

Can you advise?

Thanks
