How exactly do the fuel coolers work. Just air to liquid like a small hydraulic cooler?
On a tractor, it's usually just a smaller radiator in front of the engine coolant radiator. How exactly do the fuel coolers work. Just air to liquid like a small hydraulic cooler?
Very true. To start a pressurized water nuclear power plant, the circulating pumps are run to raise the temperature to boiling at a high pressure to create a steam bubble before going to "nuclear heat". The "work" of the pump has to go somewhere and that's heat and pressure.A lifetime ago I worked in R&D for a pump manufacturer who made pumps for Navy and commercial ships. We would set up test rigs for them. Just pumping water through a test loop in/out of a ~10k gallon test tank could heat the water to the point of boiling it if you let it go as is long enough.
