Any time I've been on a highway that's wet with water, salty or not, the vehicles always pick it up and aerosolize it. This manages to get everywhere, some places more than others of course, but it does get everywhere that airflow does. If you are relying on a wash job to remove all the salt, you have to be able to get everywhere with the wash wand that airflow does too, not just the visible outside area. That aluminium rad won't like to be left with a salty coating, neither will the under hood area, under dash area or under the floorboard if you have one. Those are just the obvious areas that can be easily over looked. What about all the nooks and crannies that are impossible to get a direct shot at not to mention any non weather proof electrical connections? Just saying, you know...
Sometimes saving $$ in the present is expensive in the future, especially seeing as you are planing on keeping your tractor for a very long time. I would do as you are presently doing with the snowblower or hire it out to someone...your tractor will thank you!
