The wife and I drove 3 1/2 hrs. to look at it and the guy was right by saying it was like new, didn't have a scrape on it and he had it in his shop under cover. I've looked at a few on line and there is so many that are diff. The one I was looking at is a FLGR-4062S Compact Tractor Grapple by Work Saver, 5ft with the top being smaller , And I think it had 5 tine with 8"space between them. ...

Well, you didn't tell us what you want it for, what tasks.

There are subtle (and not so subtle) variations on grapples. The design makes a difference for different tasks. The one you are looking at is a "clamshell" type of grapple.

The clam shell is probably good for picking up debris, a log or two, etc. Possibly for rooting out small trees and shrubs.

I sometimes wish that I had gotten a clamshell type grapple. Mine is bigger, with a flat bottom and the front of the tines is upturned. However, it's hard to get under debris with it, or under logs to pick them up.

(FWIW, I bought my grapple for the skid steer. At that time, I didn't understand the variations. If I had it to do over again, I would not buy the design that I have.)
