Home after 5000+ kilometres, 9 tanks of fuel, unlimited rest stops for me and shopping for the misses.
Actually arrived home May 22... to a dead computer. Didn't loose any data but had to replace the unit. I am in the process of organizing 2500+ images. Will post a few later.
Just getting back online tonight.
Weather was hit and miss. High 50s and 80s. Was totally impressed with Williamsburg, Jamestown, Loray Caverns, Montecello (and Mitchies - thanks JD3720 & Czechson) Gettysburg. Was impressed with the quality of the roads and signage... not impressed with the traffic. But hey, can't have it all and when you try to condense all of Canada into the New England seaboard something has to give...
Our first day was 15 hours - NS to Hartford Conn. Second day was 13 hours - arrival at Williamsburg.
Bought a lot of books and things. Picked up nails at Tremont Nail Factory in Wareham Mass.
Shame they moved the factory and inventory an hours drive away. Now it's a little craft store and you must order on-line. The staff was very helpful in getting materials for me at the factory for pick-up though! Talk about customer service.
Unfortunately we didn't have time for everything and we missed a lot. Oh well... time to start planning again.
Cheers.
PS: thanks for all the suggestions!!!
