robin subaru engine problems

got an EX27 robin subaru replacement engine and it is a nightmare I had to trade old flywheel to new engine to accomidate the starter but engine only wants to back fire through carb

Welcome from Oklahoma. I don't think I've ever had one of those in the shop. If I had it I'd want to compare both flywheels to compare keyway/trigger locations.
