FYI: The Roomba's are designed to only last 3 years. They are just more junk coming out of China.

Didn't mean to be so harsh with my 1st reply in this thread but I do want to warn people about the Roomba's. Do your research first before buying one.

Mine's only gonna last 2 years.. cuz that's when our extended service contract runs out.

I take that back.. It might last 2ys and 2mo.. as the new one I get at the 2yr mark will probably last the 2mo that the other 5 have..

Could be.. whatever it is.. they have a high infant mortality rate.

In electronics I'd classify that as a HEF.. IE.. they are not making it into their intended lifespan, but are instead failing early due to product design which is functional but 'brittle'.. ie.. works but is easilly broken..
