I know you can buy these for $1000+, but I have my time and old metal....also I have a few ideas that just are not an option.

Biggest thing is we have alot of rocks to sort and dig up, most are softball size up to triple Y's (or 2 basketballs taped together) ;)

So I started to cut a few pcs. and will head up shortly to cut a few more out.

Sneak peek....

I borrowed one of those from a buddy and found that any sod, grass or "root mass" quickly clogged up the sorting process very quickly.
Not to be such a downer on your project, (that's very impressive so far) but I had the same expectations as you and was very disappointed with the results and felt obligated to share my experience. This was using a SS that in my experience always has a faster hydraulic response to "shake" the bucket vs a tractor.

I have always been a gluten for punishment, if nothing else it will work for a grapple :p

We had a flood here that left our land strewn with rocks. I spent several years with the Kubota and various FEL rock buckets. I ended up using half a dozen, buying three different ones...& still have two.

I'll look today and see if any of the older threads are still active. There were photos of different geometries and why some rock buckets work so much better than others.

The differences between "works well" and not are very subtle & probably depend as much on your land and your rocks as anything else.

All of the rock buckets are real hard on a loader. There is a lot of bouncing the loader necessry to separate even the simplest - which I found to be dry sand/gravel from round river rocks.
Grass and loam are near impossble.

Good luck, been there.....
