Rocker Panel for my 4310

Re: Rocker Panel Switch for my 4310

Switch quality isn’t an issue, they look like a standard size and could easily be replaced to meet most any need with a quick browse of the Mouser and Digikey catalog (including lighting color of your choice) while maintaining the aesthetics. It’s a clean looking panel- I’d love to find a spot to mount something similar in my Ranger.

Honestly though if you are that unsure of yourself electrically, I’d suggest either find a friend to help out or take it to a shop. The money saved attempting that by yourself if you know nothing about electricity could easily be lost damaging your machine, or worse damaging yourself.

Hi Harbin,

Thank you for your post. I had another electrical issue that was posted and I received a great deal of support . . . and most importantly a SIMPLE hand drawn diagram to follow on how to best re-wire the electrical problem I was having. It worked. And now I was hoping to get a similar response and diagram that I could follow.

The nearest John Deere dealer is some two hours away from me and I don't own a trailer to bring my 4310 to them. So I was hoping by posting my new electrical problem involving the Rocker Panel Switch I could get it worked out with another SIMPLE diagram that I could understand.

Appreciate your reply. Thanks again.

Hi again,

Thought I would post this update to my electrical dilemma of trying to wire the Waterwich Rocker Panel I purchased through Amazon so that it would have a master (rocker panel) switch to shut down all the connected devices or turn them on individually, as needed.

Set up with Master Switch on - three rocker panels off:

I used a 6 volt battery to test the final connections:

And a closer look at the final wiring:

Thanks to everyone who offered their advice and opinions on how to wire my rocker panel, and a very special thank you to ToughSox, who has the patience of a Saint for helping me with this electrical adventure.

Thanks for looking at my thread and posts.
