I had a real mouse problem until 2 years ago. A stray cat with 7 kittens showed up. We were able to give away 4 of the kittens but kept "mama" and the remainig 3.

It is now certain death for a mouse to enter the 34 x64 building and the cats appreciate having a home. We did go to the expense of having them fixed so we won't have more cats from the current crop

Most important no more mouse damage

Don't you love it when they drop the decapitated corpses out for you to admire or step on.

Occasionally have pack-rat problems here in the great southwest. We keep Irish Spring bar soap in all our enclosed area's of the RV. Exchanging with new every 3 months or sooo. Also keep these in each corner of the shed's. Seems to work well.
Once your cover something you better have some sort of poision there for them to chew-on or else. You can't scatter poision you must attach bars of bait to somthing large enough they can't haul it off or they just carry it back the the nest and may or may not kill'm until they choose to eat it.
This fall when I pulled my leaf blower out of the shed it seemed to have something in the tube so I shook it and several pieces of poision baits fell out. So I'm rushing to get'm picked up before the dog get's ahold of them! :(

The rats got my baler harness a couple times a couple years ago ... I leave the doors, the rear gate, any opening I can open so light can get in ... I put bar bait inside the baler (wire the bait to the baler) I am constantly watching for mice and rats.

Cats didn't work for me !!! I got 2 had them fixed and darned if the woman of the house claimed them and fed them and made them a bed on the front porch!!!!

I have a reletive in Oklahoma who had alot of damage to the wireing harnesses on her JOHN DEERE DURING LAST WINTER .It cost a lot to repair as they chewed up most of the wiring. My Kubota is in storage until spring.Does anyone have any ideas on what might keep them away?Is there any repelents? I was thinking moth balls in some areas might keep them away.Maybe dcon in the barn might stop them.I'm open to ideas. Thanks for any help jdj309@myfairpoint.net
