Spent all day today preping and installing Monstaliner roll-on bed liner on my truck. While I was at it I also put it on the floor of my tractor and the front of both of my trailers.

There was a little extra so I put it on the front of both of my trailers. I figure it has to be less slippery than shiny painted metal when it's wet. Also, I rolled on some home cheapo deck waterproofing onto my deckover that I powerwashed this weekend, almost looks like a new trailer.

Let me know how you like it after a bit of abuse...I was looking to do my Rhino bed in a DIY liner, but chumped out and just bought cheap spray paint for the time being.

Yours looks nice

Very nice job. One suggestion for anyone doing a bed liner themselves. Remove the bolts holding on the bed before doing it. Re-install after it drys. Your body man will love you if you ever have a wreck and you will be happy you did if you ever need to remove the bed for something simple like a fuel pump replacement.

Excellent advice Chris.

OP. Did you have to do very much dancing for it to adhere?? What grit did you use??

No it stuck pretty good. the kit came with a big scuff pad. Actually it came with a stirrer for power drill, paint brush, 2 wood stirrers, 2 texture roller pads and a roller frame and scuff pad. All I had to supply was rubber gloves, MEK solvent, roller pan, tape(used froggy tape for the first time, worked good) and rags. For $134 on ebay with free shipping im pretty impressed, covered full size short bed pickup and then some. Time will tell though, how good it really is. I will update on the progress.

My brother put the roll on stuff on his truck and it lasted 10 years with no problems...I'm starting to be a fan this coming from a bed liner guy.

The bed bolts will tap out from underneath if you need to pop the bed...Done it before...A little touch up will be in order around the bolts though..It will peel a bit.

Depends on the make and model. I think on many Ford, which this truck looks like, there are captured nuts in the frame rail underneath and the bolts come out from the top. Same with many imports.

I have shopped around spray in bed liners a bunch and a few top notch installers around here go this extra step of removing the bolts.

As far as the liner stuff goes there is a excellent kit on Ebay that comes with a gun and everything you need for under $150.

When I had my F-250 Rhino-lined, the outfit put masking tape over the bolt heads so the liner wouldn't fill in the Torx socket holes. Came in handy when the bed had to be removed when the dealer dropped it off a lift and had to reskin the bed. They just cut around the bolt head and left a flap to glue down after the work was complete.
