Not sure but I think you suggesting back uphill on the steep stuff.
Have got stuck many times after pushing with a blade down hill and then tried to back out.
Tyres have much more traction when driving forward.
Have had the Fordson Major stuck once where even driving forward was not possible - it just sat there and dug a hole.
A big tree uphill, an 80 meter long rope, a block and tackle and another tractor pulling down hill solved the problem.
Did not go back to that patch.
Slowly slowly and engage the 'Spincter Gauge'
