I am sorry I derailed the thread yesterday, I was just so relieved my pump wasn't frozen I had to tell someone
As far as using it as a dewatering pump, I would think the dirt and grit would be damaging to the rollers.
If you plan on disassembling and replacing rollers after use, I guess it may work
