Does anyone out there own or ever use a single row rolling cultivator, if so what name brand?

Not quite sure what a rolling cultivate is. I have a rotary hoe and it is in good shape. I also have a 3 pt cultivate with wheels on it. The cultivator is in good shape and I think it is a case. It is bigger than a single row. Don't know if this helps.

Yeah, we had one when I was a kid for the garden. Can't tell you what brand it was. I think it is still over at mom's in the shed.

I have a 2 row Lilliston that I converted to a one row.

Same here and it works like a champ, they can be had at farm auctions for next to nothing.

A long time ago... we had a four and an eight row Lllliston.

They work really well. Easy to adjust down pressure for varying soil conditions. The units can be angled left OR right to either take out weeds CLOSE to the row of plants or angled to throw dirt TO the row for hilling.

If buying used, it may get expensive replacing the spiders if they have high hours of use on abrasive soils.

I had a 4 row as well, but sold it and kept the 2 row as I probably won't ever be doing any row crop farming again on a large scale, also got rid of the JD 4 row planters and kept my 2 row set of JD 71 planters so if I want to small time farm and garden I can. Down here Agri-Supply sells the replacement spiders spider gangs pretty reasonable. Charlie.

Searching for something else, I ran across this old thread. I use a single row set of rolling cultivators that I bought used. The tool bar is homemade and I think the spider gangs are Lilliston.

Once you get them adjusted just right, they do a really good job.
