Thanks Walt. The dealer is going to pick up the tractor and grapple on Thursday and check it out. Will see what they come up with. It coincides with my 50 hour service so that works out well.

UPDATE! Talked with service department this afternoon they agree there is a problem with the grapple. They think that the top plate isn't deep enough. They are taking some pics. They will get the manufacturer to pay for the repair. Will probably take until early next week to get the tractor back. Hopefully will solve the problem and we can get more work done. It's snowing here at this point so running out of time.

Got the L-39 and grapple back today. What the dealer did was rebuild the top "pocket" making it deeper. Hopefully it does the job. Just in case anyone is interested the dealer didn't charge me for the modifications (which makes sense) or transport since they did the 50 hour at the same time and my salesperson and I had agreed that everything, including transport, would be included in the original price. They are also moving my other tractor from one property to the other at no charge (about 20 miles). Hard to complain about any of this.

Did the dealer cover the hoses that were damaged because of the fault?

Mike,

No actually they did not and I didn't pursue that, probably should have. I had replaced the hoses ($50 total) prior to them repairing the unit. I was hoping I could make use of it before the dealer got to it. Obviously didn't work out.

Still happy with the way the dealer resolved the problem. Last time I moved my B7800 from my other property it cost me $150 so I look at as being ahead by $100.

That's to bad Jerry. Still it never hurts to ask.

I hope all your grapple problems are now behind you.
