A ROPS wouldn't have done much good either. The dead limb would have broken and still hit him in his pea brain sized head. Not much can be done to fix stupid.
Why wear a hard hat because the fall would kill you?
No, I'd rather have a FOPS and a cab. Those trees are called widow makers for a reason. The scary part is anyone under the tree canopy, tractor or not, is in danger around those trees.

If you copy the video to your photos, expand the clip and look very carefully, the widow maker seems to come out of nowhere. Looks almost photoshopped.

That video has been photoshopped, that dark colored limb wasn’t there and then is. But old dead trees are widow makers for sure.

What's your technique for removing trees/brush with your grapple? Here's mine....
I had a member ask me about how I use my grapple for removing trees and grubbing brush. I figured rather than keep it a private conversation, I'd start a thread on it so other's could benefit as well. Not only that, but I'd like to be sure that what I tell him, is considered safe and effective...
