Are you referencing this THREAD? If so, I don't see where anyone told you not to complain. I do see where someone (that would be me) took issue with you when you wrote </font><font color="blue" class="small">( We have a Ym 1510D & I see that a ROPS for it is not going to be developed (boo, hiss). Can you say why? )</font> You also asked </font><font color="blue" class="small">( Also I see that you have the models split out as groups can you say how the group are organized, chassis length?, axle?, rear track?, overall width?, overall weight?)</font>

And I replied </font><font color="blue" class="small">( I hope the "boo, hiss" was in jest, as we and others have lobbied for the manufacture of these for some years. It ultimately took a sizeable investment (not ours, I admit) to get them produced. They have to be profitable. If there are not enough of a given model out there to allow for a likely recoupment of investment, the result is no investment. That's my best guess.

Models are in the groups they are in because the manufacturer of the ROPS says that is the way it works.)</font>

It is simple economics. There has never been anything stopping anyone from developing an OSHA compliant ROPS for any of these units other than the expense. You can go get your own custom ROPS for your 1510 if you care to invest the minimum $20k for engineering and production startup. I am not intending to be sarcastic with you, but rather state the facts. If someone told you not to complain, I would like to view the thread.

And with that cleared up, someone has decided to shell out the money to develop the 1510 ROPS. Sometime late this year is the best guess at this time.

Since, as i have been told (feel free to correct me if i'm mistaken), my 186D shares a chassis with the 1510D... would this mean a ROPS for a 1510D would bolt on to my tractor? I know the legal disclaimer of"not specifically designed for a 186D... therefor you cannot get one for a 186D, yadda, yadda, yadda". But that being said, would anyone in the know, know if the bolt pattern/mounts would be the same between the two tractors?

Truly do not know, and the manufacturer will not respond to "what if" questions...rather understandably. It is possible that when it is certified it might be certified for additional models...some of the other groups have been. We won't know that until later. In a larger sense, it seems as if you have half-answered your own query, and a simple picture of the ROPS later on may help you answer the other half.

Ok, that was the other thing I noticed, was that I hadn't seen one on any of the websites that had ROPS for other Yanmars. The 1510D seems fairly popular and easy to find. When one is available, I'd really appreciate it if someone let me know. Thanks!
