Rops light's in or out

Thanks for the info.

I am patiently awaiting the shipment.

Maybe you got the last pair in stock. :.)

Well.... here it is a month later and still no brackets from this TractorCabDepot company.

I have inquired several times about the status of my order.

The first time they just ignored my email and voice message.

The second time they finally got back to me the next day and said they were out of stock and were having more made.

They claim they are will have them dropped shipped from the manufacturer.

But I am not happy about the delay.

So be warned... if you need light brackets quickly... you may want to consider some other source or different brackets.

Thanks for the thumbs up... you know they only cost me $14 nucks to make the pair.

Seems like it all depends on the individual. On my BX2660 I bought the BX-Expanded set up because I was in a hurry to get them on and didn't want to wait for my slow azz to get it all figured out. But after mounting them I noted that the lights are only used on a few occassions. Thus I just turn them upside down under the top of the ROPS to save them from low branches or side swipes. They are spring mounted. But being only 5'4'' and a shrinking old man, I never have to worry about hitting my head on anything, unless I'm tying my boots.

I am surprised I have not seen some sort of light housing around the light. Perhaps some light wall piping that matches the diameter of the housing with a little room to spare for cooling. It would also have to rotate with the hosuing so you could adjust it (double nutter on the light post perhaps). For retangular lights, just some thin sheeting painted to match, they would be easier and protect the light pretty well.I imagine you could even add some off road screens for a pretty durable protection.
Perhaps a short strand of motorcycle clutch cable anchored to the new metal housing then tapped into the ROPS bar (Use crimp fitting to get noose ends on the cable). Run it through the light wire wrap and it would protect it from tugs and pulls from stray branches,I imagine it would only be a short lead.

Hi CubOwner.

I just realized that this was your post about the brackets I have also ordered now.

I just left a message on the other post asking if you received them, but obviously you have.

Mine are still "In Process" for the last week.

Hopefully they will ship soon.

In the meatime, I also have the brackets that Messick's sells:

Case 2X3 Light Bracket Part #3582

I'm not sure which I'll use yet. I want to see them side by side to compare.

Tim

I would like to see these brackets in use. Anyone got these mounted up with lights?
