ROPS Raising?

   / ROPS Raising? #11
Just a thought because someone mentioned using hydraulics. You could fasten a rope to the ROPS and attach it to the FEL when raised to upper limits and then use the FEL to pull up the ROPS. OR fasten a pulley and rope to the FEL bucket, raise it as high as it will go and use the rope and pulley to raise the ROPS while standing behind the tractor, then just pop in the pins.

Try attaching a bar that is fixed to the upper section in a manner so that it extends lower then the hinge point by 12-18". When putting ROPS up you can apply pressure to extension bar for added leverage which should ease the uprighting process.

thought crossed my mind...lol. The ROPS when lowered is still to high for me to touch when I am standing on the ground. I was thinking of a push stick maybe??? Next time you are around a 8560 you will see what I mean..

Mobass, I think your push stick idea will work good if there is no binding, and the ROPS go up easy ( no binding). Screw some two bys together like a Y and just push it in place from the ground. :2cents:

I think I will go with the push stick. Thanks for all the ideals.
